News and Notes:
Fluency Books
The fluency books that are sent home each week with the reading log to practice fluency will resume in January. As a reminder, the fluency books are optional if your child is in LLI. Please let me know if your child is in LLI and you would still like a fluency book each week, otherwise I will not send one home with your child as there are LLI books sent home each night.
Service Project/Birthday Party
We are excited about our Christmas celebration on Friday, December 21st. A permission form was sent home to drop off donations and tour the St. Louis Foodbank that morning. If you said you would drive, then we will count you in! Thank you parents! Please be at school that day by 9:30am. After the food bank tour, we will return to school to have a birthday party for Jesus.
Substitute Teacher
I unfortunately cannot be at school on our last Friday before Christmas break. I am having a medical procedure and am unable to choose the day or time, and it is during our service project and birthday party. We have a wonderful substitute, Janet Gregory, who will be fantastic with the students. She is excited to go on the field trip and celebrate Jesus' birthday when they get back. I will be at school in the morning with the children before I have to go to the doctor to help get things organized for the tour of the food bank, and parents set for driving. Thank you for your understanding!
