Advent is for Waiting
Advent starts this weekend! We talked about Advent being when we wait for Jesus' birthday! We created an Advent chain to help us countdown to when Jesus was born. Your child can hang their Advent Chain from a tall place in their bedroom and each night of December, take off one loop and pray for the person written on that chain link.
When your first grader reaches the bell, it will be Christmas!

Advent Speaking Part
Your child's Advent speaking part was put in their red folder on Monday. It is highlighted with their name on top and I talked to them about what it was. :-) Your child should learn this at home and practice speaking is loud and s l o w. We will begin practicing with classes and microphones the following week.

Your child has a scholastic book order packet in the Friday folder. This is a great Christmas present! If you'd like any to be a secret, let me know and I can get them to you directly.
