News and Notes:
Field Day
On Friday, May 19th, students in grades 1-8 will participate in a Faith Family Field Day. We will enjoy a picnic lunch, play games and have one last fun time with our Faith Family. Zion will be providing cheese pizza from Dominos, goldfish crackers, and Oreos for the picnic lunch. If your child does not want that lunch or is unable to eat it due to allergies, please have your child bring a cold lunch on Friday, May 19th. You child will also be spending the afternoon in the sun, so please apply sunscreen in the morning before your child comes to school. This will be a special Spirit Day as your child may wear Zion t-shirt and NON uniform bottoms!
Library
Our visits to the school library are now over. They are beginning inventory so please return any library books that are still at your home. You will be notified of any missing books. You can either return it, replace it, or give money for Zion to replace it.
Reading Camp
To help prevent the summer slide, Mrs. Bernhardt will be having a summer reading camp. This camp will focus on maintaining reading and writing levels. Each session will include reading, writing and an activity. It will be held on Tuesday in the mornings. She likes to keep the groups small so first come, first serve.
She will have two sessions: 9-10:15 and 10:30-11:45. The sessions will be on June 6, June 13, July 11, July 18, July 25, and August 1.
You may sign up for some or all of the weeks. The cost will be $15 per week. If you are interested, please sign up on the google doc and put your name and the time and dates you'd like to attend.
