National Lutheran Schools Week
Sunday is our kickoff for National Lutheran Schools Week. We will be celebrating our Lutheran School with 2,255 Lutheran schools in the US, and 221,000 students are growing in their faith each day! Lutheran schools have been making disciples for 160 years that will hopefully serve others!
SPECIAL DRESS UP DAYS:
Monday - PJ Day - Wear PJs/sweats. Each child may bring 1 small stuffed animal OR pillow. Students can wear slippers, but should bring shoes to wear at recess and dismissal. Ice Cream treats at lunch.
Tuesday - Fake Injury Day - Throw on your bandages and slings. No injuries that impair your ability to function in school all day. NO BLOOD PLEASE. Jeans optional.
Wednesday - Character Day - Dress up as favorite Bible, book, or movie character. Jeans optional. Free Hot Chocolate at recess.
Thursday - Ultimate Spirit Day - Wear red, white, and black to show your school spirit. Jeans optional. Teachers vs. 8th graders volley ball game.
Friday - Holiday Day - Wear your cheesy holiday gear and show your festive side. Ideas include but are not limited to 4th of July, Christmas, Valentines Day, St. Patrick's Day, Thanksgiving, etc. Jeans optional. 100th Day celebration! Special All School assembly!
COIN WAR:
Part of our Lutheran Schools Week celebration will be a Change War. All money will go to Bibles for Belize. Bring in your change and put it in our tub! Bring in your dollars and put it in other class's tubs! Let's see if we can get the most money!
100th Day Celebration
Friday, Jan. 27th is the day we celebrate 100 Days of School! If you are able to help, please email Christy Wegener at: wegenerchristi@gmail.com. We still need 100 empty cereal boxes!

We sing on Feb. 4th at 5pm! See you then!
Florissant Civic Center Field Trip
We are going to see a play! Form is in your child's Friday folder. Please return the form by Friday. Chaperones for this trip are: JEANNINE CAMP and ANGIE FLICK. Please arrive by 10:45am!
Grocery Store Items
We are all set with our grocery store items. We do not need any more. Thank you so much for saving items for us! We look forward to learning about what goes into setting up a store and buying items!
Valentines Day
We will celebrate Valentines Day as a class on February 14th. We will sing and deliver valentines to a local nursing home. Information will be sent home next week! Your child can send in a valentine for each friend in the class. Be sure to include everyone. :-) Here is a list of students names:
