News and Notes:
First Science Test
Under the direction of Mrs. Bernhardt, the first graders will have a science test over pages 23-79. The book will come home on Tuesday. She says it looks like a lot of information to cover, but it's really not. Go over the practice tests, p. 48-49b and p. 78-79b, as well as highlighted terms.
We Sing
We sing in church on October 9th at 10:30am. Please meet in the upper music room in the balcony of the church at 10:20 to warm up with Mrs. Crumrine.
Botanical Gardens Field Trip
I do not have everyone's permission form for our field trip on October 10th. Forms are due Monday, October 3rd. Parent chaperones are: Amy Brockmeyer, Kristin Young, Jessica Hopfer, Pastor Rouland, and Melissa Quagliata. Please arrive by 8:15am. Students should wear their uniform bottoms and red Zion ALL FOR ONE shirt. We will be outside and walking so please dress your child for the weather and walking.

Apple Day
I am still looking for some more helpers for our Apple Day to run a station in the morning from about 9-11am on October 11th. Please let me know if you can help.
Harvest Party
We will celebrate this fall by saying THANK YOU to some local agencies right down the street from our school! Our room parents are busy planning the details. A permission form will be sent home soon!
