News and Notes:
Spelling
As stated on our spelling list, we will now include 2 extra words that follow the pattern on each spelling test. We have been practicing this for several weeks and starting next week, we will count them as part of the test. The words will follow the pattern we've been practicing all week.
Thanksgiving Offering
Our November Offerings go to make Thanksgiving food baskets for Seminarian Families. As a school, we want to support and thank them for answering God's call to service and spreading God's Word.
On Wednesday, Nov. 20th we ask that the students bring in non perishable Thanksgiving food. All money collected in the month of November will go toward the purchase of turkeys and perishable food. The goal is to make up 30 Thanksgiving Baskets.
First Grade Advent Service
Mark your calendar! First grade will lead an Advent service on December 18th at 10am and again at 7pm. Their individual speaking parts will be put in Homework folders before Thanksgiving. More information to come as we grow closer.

Below is information regarding Lutheran churches helping our partner churches in the Philippines.
Three congregations of the Lutheran Church in the Philippines (LCP), a partner church with The Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod, are in the area hardest hit by Typhoon Haiyan, which tore through the country Friday, Nov. 8 and is one of the strongest storms ever recorded. At least one of those congregations is reported to have significant damage.More than 10,000 people are feared dead and thousands more have lost their homes in the wake of the typhoon — also known in the Philippines as Super Typhoon Yolanda.
