Red Ribbon Week:

October 28th - November 1st is Red Ribbon Week.  Information on the Poster Contest was sent home earlier this week.  If your child wants to participate, please have your child create the poster according to the directions attached, and please return it ASAP!  The posters are being judged later in the week by STUCO.

Dress-up Days -

Monday:  "Your future is 2 bright 4 drugs" - Wear Sunglasses (Regular dress wear)

Tuesday:  "I mustache you a question…Are you drug free?" - Wear a Mustache (Sold on Monday by student council for $.50, they will come to our classroom - Regular dress wear)

Wednesday:  "Roses are red, violets are blue, drugs aren’t 4 you!" - Wear an ORANGE Shirt (Regular dress bottoms..Shirt color is assigned to our grade).

Thursday: "Tip your hat to a drug free life" - Wear a Hat (Regular dress wear)

Friday:  "The hero in me is drug free" - Dress like a Superhero (Dress up as a superhero or Regular dress wear)

It's APPLE DAY!

We peeled and cut the apples.

We made a "Some, Some Went Away" book about apples.

We investigated the apples we brought!

 

 We brainstormed words to describe apples.

  

And wrote them down in an apple shape.

We had AWESOME helpers!

Mrs. Owens

 and Mrs. McCann!

 

 We made Applesauce!

It was delicious!  Most of us had thirds!  

We finished it all!

HARVEST PARTY!

We made a Blessing Tree.  Mrs. McCann helped us think of some of our blessings and we wrote them on our trees.

We also read a story about helping hands.  

We thought of ways we use helping hands.

We are lending our helping hands by making 

placemats for Meals on Wheels.

 

Look at all the placemats we made!  That will really make Meals on Wheels customers smile!

We also made a GIANT thank you card for Mr. Debrick thanking him for being such a great principal to us!
