Collecting
I am collecting cleaned styrofoam trays! Often you get them when you buy pre-wrapped fruits or veggies (Aldi's, Trader Joes, etc.) I will take them!
Parent /Teacher Conference
Your conference times are in the Friday Folder. Please sign the form and return by next Monday. I look forward to meeting with you on Thursday, October 17th or Friday , October 18th.
Math Fact Practice
You may have notice a couple adding fact practice papers come home this week. We will now be working on addition facts and most nights your first grader will have fact practice as homework. Please have your child complete the facts and then parents need to check it and sign on the bottom. Please have your child fix any mistakes. We will also be having fact assessments about once a week.
Building Construction
Building will be starting soon for the new Early Childhood Center. Please watch the banner for announcements and updates. The biggest change next week will be to our recess. The playground area will change and will be moved to a fenced in portion of the upper lot.
Trunk or Treat
October 11th is the date for Trunk or Treat this year. Please click on the following link for information and registration form:

Bobcat Shuffle
A 5K and 1 mile fun walk/run will be held on October 19th. The younger children can walk to the playground, and some special treats will be handed out as well. Over 150 registrations so far, it looks to be a wonderful event! Register in the school office or online at www.eventcow.org, then search for Zion5K Race/1K Fun Run. If you would like to volunteer for this event, please visit Volunteer Spot at http://tinyurl.com/pcga8po or use the link on the Zion website.
If your child did not get his/her picture taking on Registration day or you would like a retake, our picture retake day is Thursday, October 17th.
