News and Notes:

Grandparents Day

Friday, March 8th is the big day! Please let you grandparent or VIP know the schedule that was in the invitation. Our class will be giving a small presentation in the special program called "What I Like Best." We will end the day in the church. The students will be dismissed from the church, so if the child's grandparent is not taking him/her home please come into the church to pick up your child.

Please do not send backpacks to school on Friday. Friday Folders will come home on Thursday.

We Sing

Sunday March 10th at 11am. Please have your child in the upper music room by 10:45 to warm up and practice.

Campus Expansion

God has richly blessed us with more students then we have classrooms! Please read Mr. Debrick's letter and prayerfully consider how you can be a part of our campus expansion and join us in spreading the Good News to the children here at Zion.

Achievement Testing

We are practicing the format for achievement testing so that your first grader is familiar during testing week. You will see some Reading Comprehension Assessments come home that they have done to practice how it works. They are doing pretty well in our small groups. We'll practice as a big group soon too!

Publishing Party

We had our second publishing party today to celebrate our class published book and the children's hard work. We toasted to jobs and applauded each other's efforts. If you did not order a book, but would still like to, it's not too late. Just let me know and I can get you the information.

Planet Fun
We have rescheduled our field trip to Planet Fun for Friday, March 15th. Information and permission form are in your child's Friday folder. Please fill out the form and return ASAP. Also, please let me know if you can drive and chaperone on this date.

Thank You

Thank you for all of your kind words, wishes, cards and gifts on my birthday this past week. I was overwhelmed by your kindness and generosity. The boys and girls' excitement made it very fun.
