News and Notes:

Field Trip
A field trip permission form was sent home today in the Red folder to visit the local Nursing Home.  We will sing Christmas songs, pass out cards, and get to know the residents a little bit.  We need parents to chaperone and drive.  This is usually my favorite service project as I love seeing the kids interact with the residents.  However, we will need parents to support and encourage the kids to talk with the residents.  We practice, but it still is slightly scary in the moment.  :-)  Permission forms are due next week!

Advent Service
We will lead worship on Wednesday, December 18th at 10am and 7pm.  We will practice next week in the church with the rest of the first graders and second graders.  PLEASE help your child know their speaking part LOUD and S-L-O-W.  Many of them have a question or an exclamation mark, so please practice using feeling in our parts!
For the morning service, children should wear just school dress code.  For the evening, feel free to wear church clothes or school dress code.  Please bring your child to the church basement that evening at 6:50pm.

100th Day Celebration
We will celebrate our 100th day of school in a couple of months, but we need to plan ahead.  Please save your cereal boxes and send them to school.

Advent Practice
Due to many practices next week, we will not have math (or LLI for those who participate) as often as normally scheduled.
