Apple Day
Next Tuesday, we will celebrate the amazing fruit - APPLES! We will have an entire day to explore and learn. PLEASE HAVE YOUR CHILD BRING AN APPLE TO SCHOOL ON TUESDAY!!! Thank you to Kara Swofford and Emily Schmidt helping that day! Please let me know if you can help from 12:00-2:00-ish! I'll take more helpers if you are available!
Botanical Gardens
Wednesday, October 9th is our field trip to the Botanical Gardens. We will be doing a garden class about seeds, eating lunch, and doing a self tour. We will also be looking at the Dale Chihuly art throughout the gardens.
Your child should wear their RED ZION SHIRT and uniform bottoms. Please dress for the weather and walking. We will be outside most of the time. Please bring a sack lunch - no peanuts or peanut butter please. It is best to send your child with everything throw away! They have recycle and compost there! It is too hard for your child to have to carry their lunch box all over the garden. We will return to school around 2:30-ish.
PLEASE REMEMBER TO HAVE YOUR CHILD BRING LABELED BOOSTER SEAT ON WEDNESDAY MORNING. EACH CHILD MUST HAVE A BOOSTER SEAT TO RIDE IN A CAR TO THE GARDENS.
Thank you to chaperones Frahlman, James, Swofford, Braswell, Hamilton, Phipps, and Hanner. Please come into school with your child. I will give you the names of children riding in your car and you can put the booster seats in the car while we are at Chapel. We will be leaving right after Chapel at 8:45!
