Valentines Day
We will celebrate Valentines Day on Thursday, February 14th at the very end of the day. Please send your child's valentines to school that day. We have made boxes and we look forward to passing those out, and enjoying a special treat together. Mrs. Cooper has worked hard to set up our service project and provide a treat for our celebration! We are excited!
Villages of St. Peters
We will visit the nursing home on Valentines day. Please have your child wear their RED Zion t-shirt and regular school bottoms. Please send your child's car seat that day! Chaperones who have signed up to go please arrive by 9:35am. We will leave at 9:45am and return around 10:45am. We will sing, pass out valentines and hope to get to know the residents a little bit. We appreciate prayers as we GO share God's love that day!

We sing February 23 at 5pm. Please have your child in the upper music room by 4:50pm to warm up.
Kids Heart Challenge
Excitement is building for our Kids Heart Challenge (formally Jumprope for Heart). Zion has participated in this fundraiser for the American Heart Association for the last 20 years. Last year our enthusiastic students and their generous families and friends raised over $18,200 to help fight heart disease in MO. That was the highest amount raised in our state by Jump/Hoops for Heart schools. We are #1 on the 2018 Honor Roll! Way to go Bobcats! Kids Heart Challenge forms are in the Friday folder.

2. Parent Volunteers are needed for our Kindergarten through 5th grade events. Contact Mrs. Steinbacher at msteinbacher@zionharvester.org with any questions or to volunteer.

4. Donation envelopes should all be turned in by Friday, Feb. 22, but maybe be turned in before that date.
5. Students who have raised at least $5 for the American Heart Association may wear athletic clothing on their event day.
6. Mrs. Steinbacher will distribute the "Heart Hero" rewards as quickly as possible.
Boxtop Contest
Send in your boxtops! We are working on filling up our bag!
Grandparents/Special Friend Day
Your child brought home an invitation for Grandparents/Special Friend Day on Friday, March 9th from 8-11am. Please pass on the invite to your special guest. Your child must have an adult present that day. A schedule of events is on the backside of the invitation. Zion asks that you stay together as a family unit (including siblings) for proper supervision that day. Enjoy various activities throughout the morning in all the classrooms, and a special program and Chapel service in the church.
