Service Project Field Trip
A permission form was sent home this week regarding our last service project for Valentines Day.  We will be heading to Village of St. Peters to sing to about 50 of the residents there.  We will pass out valentines we will make and hopefully get to know the residents a little bit.  Please return the permission form by Friday.  To chaperone, YOU MUST HAVE YOUR BACKGROUND CHECK.  It is something that can be done quickly and easily.  We will leave around 945am and return in time to eat lunch at school.

Early Release
Wednesday, February 6th is a half day for the students.

Valentines Day Party
We will be making our valentine boxes here at school. Each child may bring valentines to hand out. Please include one for each child in our class. No candy is allowed due to our peanut policy. Our party will be February 14th at the end of the day. We will pass out valentines and enjoy a yummy treat.
Class List:
Lilly Avery Mason Clark Kaiden Autumn
Sophia Jack Elliot Cassidy Caroline Arian
Jake James Pierce Owen Zoey
Julia and Tyler who work in the lunch room would love to get Valentines, too!

We Sing
On February 23rd, we sing at the 5:00pm church service. Please mark your calendars. The boys and girls always sound so nice!

Tying Shoes
If you were at the Back to School Night at the beginning of the school year, you remember me talking about the importance of independence and having some goals for your first grader. Tying shoes is something every first grader can do if practiced regularly. That night, I set a goal with your for Valentines Day. After Valentines Day I will step away from tying your first graders shoes. I will help them tighten the laces, but the first graders will do the work! :-)
