This week we learned that Martin Luther King used words and actions that showed God's love to others. We had some great discussions about his dreams for our country and how he wanted everyone, as different as we all are, to hold hands
together as brothers and sisters.

100th Day Celebration
Friday, January 25th is our 100th day celebration. We still need many parents to help prep and run stations. Heather Horn has volunteered to run this afternoon for us. If you are able to help, please email her at: hhorn@zionharvester.org or go to this link to sign up: 100th Day Sign Up
We need 3-5 more parents between the 2 first grades to help. If you can't help but would like to donate, please email Heather.
We are still collecting cereal boxes. We need a few more by January 22nd. You can empty your cereal box even if you aren't done with the cereal. :-)
National Lutheran Schools Week
National Lutheran Schools Week is coming up soon! Below is the list of dress days January 28-Febrary 1st:

Wednesday, February 6th is a half day for the students.
Valentines Day
We will be making our valentine boxes here at school. Each child may bring valentines to hand out. Please include one for each child in our class. No candy is allowed due to our peanut policy. Our party will be February 14th.
