Advent Service
The boys and girls did such a great job on Wednesday night, reminding us to FOCUS on JESUS!

Sight Words
I will assess sight words next week for Quarter 2 (and Quarter 1 if your child still needed to work on some). Please work on any words your child needs practice with this weekend. I will send home the list again in the Friday folder.
Field Trip to Harvester Christian
We are all set to take our collected goods to Harvester Christian on Monday, December 19th at 1:30pm. We will put together the birthday bags right before we leave at 1:00pm. We should be back just before the end of the school day. Our donations are overflowing onto the floor! Thank you for your generosity!
Christmas Party
We will have a birthday party for Jesus on Thursday, December 22nd at 10:45am. We will sing Happy Birthday, eat cake, and play a couple of games. It will be a nice celebration before Christmas is here! School is dismissed that day at noon.

we pictured in our minds. Then we walked around and looked at each others.
They were all different!
Then we put the poem together in order
and read it to a friend.
We learned about symmetry.
We made Christmas trees using symmetry!

We practiced reading short and long i words
with a partner in the game Four in a Row!
We made Stained Glass Angels
after we learned how important angels were
in proclaiming the news of Jesus to
Mary, Joseph and the Shepherds!
We learned about and drew what
happened when Jesus was born!
In Literacy Stations, we wrapped presents...
made wrapping paper...
created ornaments...
and decorated our tree!
We learned all about how the characters in our stories can show feelings! We added feeling words and shared them with the class.
We found the line of symmetry on shapes
and wrote the fraction 1/2 on each part!
More basketball in PE!
