Wednesday, February 4th is a half day for the students.  School is dismissed at 12:00.

We Sing
On February 7th at 5:00pm, we sing in church.  Please mark your calendars!

Six Flags Reading Program
We are participating in the Six Flags Reading Program.  Don't forget READING LOGS will be DUE FEBRUARY 23rd.  You may turn it in as soon as you are done.

Valentines Day
We will be making our valentine boxes here at school.  Each child may bring Valentines to hand out.  If you choose to do so, please include a Valentine for each child in our class.  PLEASE NO CANDY.  This year, we are asking that you DO NOT send candy to school with the Valentines, due to our peanut policy.  We are working on keeping all of our children safe.   Our party will be on February 13th.  Email me if you can help from 1-3.  We are also collecting gently used coats and shoes to send to FISH.  They sent me a personal card recently letting me know how appreciative they were of us donating in the fall.  They can still use our help!

FISH Pantry
As a special show of love to our neighbors, we are teaming with the other first grade class and the third grade classes to collect gently used shoes and coats.  These donations will be given to the F.I.S.H. Food pantry to aid our neighbors in St. Charles County.  You may bring your items to school and put them in the box in our room.

Jump Rope For Heart
You are invited to save a LIFE!  Please look at the information flyer in the Friday Folder.
Zion was in the top 20 schools for donations last year in all school (public, private, and parochial) last year!
