Advent Service
We will lead worship Wednesday, Dec. 19 at 7:00pm we will also lead closing Chapel on Friday, Dec. 21 at 8:00am. We will begin practicing in the church for our service next week. Please continue to practice your child's individual part focusing on loud and slow. :o)
Christmas Service Project
Please pray for Drew and his family. Remember our class is collecting household cleaning items to help the family in this time of need. A tub will be outside our door. Look at last week's blog for more information.
Heaven Questions
The boys and girls had so many questions last week about heaven! We decided to ask Pastor to help us understand. We wrote him a letter asking him all of the questions we had.
1. Do we get wings in heaven?
2. Can we fly back to earth and see what's going on?
3. Will there be pets in heaven?
4. Can we do whatever we want in heaven?
On Friday, we met with Pastor Rouland and he answered all of our questions. We learned a lot! Be sure to ask your first grader what he/she found out!

Reading
Next week will be the last week I will be sending the guided reading books and Book Bags home. There will be no guided reading books the week of December 17th. We will start up after Christmas again.
Supplies
Please check with your child on what they might need for school. Some students have lost or used up markers, crayons and glue sticks. These items make great stocking stuffers!
