Before and After Christmas
Because of the extra Advent service practices this week and the short week when we return, next week and the two days we come back will be combined into one week.  As a reminder, there will be no Book Bags or Leveled Reading books next week.

Christmas Party
We will have our class party on Friday, Dec. 21st.  Our fabulous room parents are working on the plans for that event.  Please email me if you can help!

Christmas Break
Early Release on Friday, December 21.   School is dismissed at 12:00pm.  School will resume Thursday, January 3rd.

Christmas Service Project
Show your love and support for Drew Albritton!  Thank you for the donations so far!  Remember that you still have a week to donate household cleaning items. If your family would like to send a Christmas card to the AlbrittonFamily please send it to school by Thursday.  Sara Kuhlmann will deliver all gifts and cards on Friday.  Please keep Drew’s family in your prayers.

Bobcat Spirit Day
Friday December 21st is Bobcat Spirit Day!

Advent Service
Wednesday, December 19th.  Please have your child in the church basement at 6:40.  For this service your child may wear a Christmas outfit, other Church clothes, or school uniform.  No jeans please.
We have been working hard on this service.  We each have our individual part and our songs ready.  We are excited to share the message of Jesus birth.
We will be repeating the service on Friday morning, December 21 for the school Christmas chapel.  Your child should just wear uniform clothes (or spirit wear) for Friday.  Feel free to join us and watch the service again. :o)

Hermit Crabs
If anyone is interested in taking care of our pet hermit crabs (we have 3) over Christmas break, please email me, call me, or write me a note letting me know you would like the opportunity.  They are extremely easy to care for, but they do need water each day.  Many of our first graders already have hermit crabs.  They could easily be added to your "crabitat" for Christmas so they wouldn't need any special treatment.  Otherwise, if you don't have hermit crabs, I have a travel crabitat that you could easily place in your home over break.  Please let me know.  First to contact is who I'll go with.
