2.21.2020

Lent begins next week on February 26 with Ash Wednesday.  Zion provides Wednesday services at 3:30 and 7:00 with dinner in between services. During Lent I encourage you to try and recommit yourself to personal devotions and prayer.  This is a time to focus on Jesus and His great love for us. Jesus gave His life so that we can live.

For it is by GRACE you have been saved through faith and this is not from yourselves it is a gift of God, not a result of works so that no one can boast.  Ephesians 2:8-9

There is nothing I can do to gain forgiveness and eternal life it is God's gift through Jesus!  So instead of giving something up for Lent try doing the opposite and adding something ... maybe commit to Wednesday night church, attend Sunday Bible Classes, do personal devotions, do family devotions, or make weekend worship a priority in your family.  I know your faith life will be strengthened.

I am missing a few Dismissal Forms.  Please return those to school before March  4 for planning purposes.

This weekend we will hear about Jesus Transfiguration.  Listen to the Children's Message at Zion and learn more about this, be on the look out for a few familiar faces.

Jump Rope for Heart was a success. Thank you to those who donated to help those with heart disease. The students enjoyed participating in various jumping stations. Take a look at the event!

We also had some fun practicing this week's spelling words!

I hope everyone enjoys the weekend and make worship be in your plans for the weekend!
In HIM,
Paige Borcherding
