Faith Families

Ask you first grader about their latest service project with their faith family!  We had the opportunity to make a positive impact and share the love of Jesus with children in foster care right here in the St. Charles area.  We did a devotion on Matthew 28:35-40, Jesus tells us that when we help each other, it is like we are helping him.  We then learned about the TOGETHER WE RISE - SWEET CASES.   Please visit:  Sweet Cases to learn more about the project.

We decorated and filled the duffel bags.  We prayed for the children who would receive the bags.  These bags will be delivered to local foster care agencies to be given to children in St. Charles.  What an opportunity to work together as a family of faith to make the children in foster care feel loved and give them something of their own.

We sorted our classroom library books and created labels.  We are better at knowing where it goes when we decide together!

We read a book about hummingbirds and wanted to learn more!  Zoey brought in a hummingbird feeder to show us what one looked like!

After reading about hummingbirds, we decided we wanted to see them out our window.  We wrote a letter to Mr. Debrick asking him if we could plant flowers that would attract hummingbirds by our bird feeder.  We'll see what he says.  :-)
