Field Day
On Friday, May 18th, students in grades 1-8 will participate in a Faith Family Field Day. We will eat a picnic lunch, play games, and have one last fun time with out Faith Families. Zion will be providing cheese pizza from Dominos, goldfish crackers, and water for the picnic lunch. If your child does not want to eat that lunch or cannot due to allergies, please have your child bring a cold lunch on that day. Your child will also be spending the afternoon out in the sun, so please apply sunscreen in the morning before your child comes to school. The will also be a special spirit day: your child may wear a Zion t-shirt and any non-uniform bottoms.
Summer Reading Camp
To help prevent the summer slide, Mrs. Bernhardt will be having a summer reading camp This camp will focus on maintaining ON GRADE LEVEL reading and writing. Each session will include reading, writing and an activity. It will be held on Tuesdays in the mornings. Mrs. Bernhardt likes to keep her sessions small. There will be two sessions: 9-10:15 and 10:30-11:45. The sessions will be on June 5, June 12, June 26, July 10, July 17 and July 24. You may sign up for some or all of the weeks. The cost will be $15.00 per wee. If you are interested and would like to sign up, please go tot he google doc form and put your name month time and date you would like to attend.
Summer Reading Camp
Faith Families
We meet as a Faith Family once a month to pray and do an activity. During the prayer time this year we have been focusing on spending 5 minutes each day praying. Our activity this month ws based on 1 Thess. 5:17: Be Thankful in ALL circumstances. We wrote Thank You notes to the many volunteers that help at our school. We ended our time celebrating baptism birthdays for May and June. We look forward to our last Faith Family event, Field Day!
