100th Day Celebration
Friday, January 26th is our 100th day of school! We will be celebrating and need many parents to help. Thank you to those who have volunteered - I have already passed your names onto her. Mrs. Abbey Wagoner is graciously planning this day for us. If you are able to help, please email her at:
abbeywagoner@gmail.com. We need 12 parents between the two first grades. If you can help prep or send in donations, please let her know. We are still collecting cereal boxes. Please send them in!
Chapel Offering
During the month of January, our offerings will support the mission work in Cambodia, which is organized by Lutheran Hour Ministries. Students in grades K-4 were given change boxes to collect their offerings this month. During NLSW, students can bring these change boxes to chapel on Wednesday, January 24th. Through our offerings we can spread the word of Christ across the world! Our offering boxes were in your child's Friday folder last week.
National Lutheran Schools Week
January 22-26 we will have special dress and events each day:
Monday - PJ Day
-Wear Pajamas/sweats
-May bring one stuffed animal or pillow
-May wear slippers (bring shoes for outside)
-Ice Cream Treats at lunch
Tuesday - Fashion Disaster Day
-Mismatched clothes, clashing patterns, and kooky outfits!
-Jeans optional
-Mission Project Activities
Wednesday - Buddy Class Color Day
-Match your buddy class by wearing your assigned color - 1T is BLUE
-Jeans optional
-Buddy Class Activity - with 7W
Thursday - Ultimate Spirit Day
-Wear Red, White, and Black to show your Zion School Spirit
-Jeans Optional
-8th Grade vs. Teachers Volleyball Game
Friday - Sports Day
- Put on all your sports gear to be the ultimate athlete!
-Jerseys, pants, hats, but no props (balls, bats, etc.)
-Jeans optional
-Olympics Assembly
Zion Open House
On January 21st, 1-3pm, we will be hosing an Open House. Please invite your friends to see for themselves the great things happening at Zion.
We Sing
On February 3rd, we sing at the 5:00pm service. Please mark your calendar!
Early Dismissal
Wednesday, February 7th is a half day for the students as the teachers have an inservice.
Valentines Day
We will be making valentine boxes at school. Each child may bring valentines to hand out. Please include a valentine for each child in our class. PLEASE NO CANDY. Our party will be on February 14th. Our class list:
