Friday Cleaner
September 4 - Heather Kreinbring
Reading Calendar
The Reading Calendar for September is in your child's Friday folder. You can keep track of how often your child reads all month and return it at the end of September. If your child reads 4 times a week at lease 10 minutes each time, they can earn a free book or starting in October, a free pizza.
Scholastic Book Order
Book orders magazines were sent home in the Friday folder. An introduction letter was emailed to you. Orders are due September 5th. Please go online to order your books. The class activation code is GVN8W. Go to this link when ordering: https://orders.scholastic.com/GVN8W
Sock as an Eraser
Yes, you read correctly. Your child can bring an old, clean sock to school and keep it as an eraser for his/her personal dry erase board.
Highlights Magazine
There is a form in your child's Friday folder to fill out for Highlights Magazine. It is a wonderful magazine for children. You can order and return the form; or if you wish to not order, then please check "NO, I do not wish to order at this time" and please return it to school ASAP. Our class can still earn free items even if the returned form is marked "NO."
MO Botanical Gardens
We are still in need of some more chaperones for our Botanical Gardens field trip. Our trip is scheduled for Thursday, September 17th, 8-3. I still have room for more 2 parents. Please let me know if you would like to go with us to chaperone our first graders.
