WEEK THIRTY-SIX

This week in chapel our school was presented with TOUCH OF LIFE MODELS from Owen's Mission. This is a special Lutheran for Life National project to honor a little boy name Owen who Jesus took to heaven. Owen's Mission is to provide every Lutheran School in America with a set of babies. Now that we have one, the children can see and hold how big a baby is at each stage before he/she is born.

Week of the Young Child May 4-9

As part of the celebration of Week of the Young Child, there will be optional dress-up days this week. The themes are listed below:

Monday: Sports Shirt Day-wear a sports shirt of their favorite team

Tuesday: Favorite Color Day

Wednesday: Spirit Day - Wear red or white or Zion wear

Thursday: Stripes Day

Friday: Mismatched Socks Day

Please remember that these dress-up days are optional! If your child chooses not to participate, he/she should be in Zion standardized dress (K-2nd grade). If your child participates, he/she doesn't have to be in standardized dress. It should be a fun week!

1-3 Grade Musical

MUSICAL TIME CHANGE! The primary grade musical is this FRIDAY MAY 8th. Due to a scheduling conflict the musical will be at 7:30pm. Please have your child in costume and in the church basement at 7:00pm.

First and Second Graders are to wear a GREEN shirt (polo preferred or any plain green shirt) and KHAKI bottoms.
We have been working on the musical and can't wait to perform it for you!

FINAL Scholastic Book Order

May book orders magazines were sent home with your child in the Friday folder. Orders are due Wednesday, May 6th. This will be the last order for the year. Keep your child reading over the summer! Vacation Bible School

You are invited to Zion's VBS! June 15-19, 9:00am-12:00pm.

This is such a fun week and a great opportunity to invite others to come to our VBS. This weekend in church is registration kick off. Registration forms will come home next week in the Friday Folders.

Toghether We're Better (TWB)

Please support our school by using this easy program. The forms for TWB can be downloaded off Zion's website under the News section. What a great way to raise money for our school! Forms are on the Zion website or use the purple paper in the Friday Folder.
